I have 22 years in SW engineering, but mostly with MF’s, Unix, no windows or web dev experience. I want my own business–no more corporate life! I’m looking for a list of skills and the most efficient way to acquire them. I’m a fast learner.

For those of you who have had a site designed (or know someone who has) what complaints do/did you have about the end result? Also, what’s your top complaints regarding the work relationship with the designer?

i am unemployed and the church gave us a cake mix and a bag of confectioners/powdered sugar. i have oil and eggs and sugar and milk. vanilla doesnt last long around here because i have four kids that like to make milkshakes lol. what can i do?

Vanilla frosting meaning those really light fluffy sweet ones. And Those cupcakes that are.. I guess vanilla too- the yellow looking ones? I’m not really good at cooking/baking but I wanted to give it a whirl as a present ^^.

I am in my last year at UOP On line and I live in Springfield IL. and there is only really one major IT business in town, LRS, it is one of the biggest in the world. I inquired there and they say they want atleast 5 years expierence. I have done a little big of everything with computers, MS Office pro certificate, I know basic java programming, cisco net working, web design. I work now as an assistant manager for a hotel, but I dont see how that will link me to the IT field? I dont want to wait until after I graduate. I am also thinking about how to start my on computer business. Any thoughts and Ideas would be appreciated.
